We are coming into summer, which always means mobilization and planning season for 10 Days (September 15-25th).

110 Cities: Missions Focus in Prayer for 2023

Several years ago, leaders representing massive, vibrant church networks in Africa and Asia developed a list of “110 Cities” where 90% of remaining, unreached people groups live. (110cities.com) In other words, if we could reach these cities with the gospel, we could consider the Great Commission complete.

Last Summer, while talking with Jason Hubbard, I sensed the Lord very clearly highlight this as the focus for 10 Days in 2023.  Greatness in the kingdom comes from serving one another.  Praying for these 110 Cities seemed like the most tangible way of serving these church movements that are seeing gospel breakthroughs in the hardest and darkest places of the world.

10 Days 2023 (Sept 15-25) will have a special emphasis on praying for these 110 Cities.

  • Prayer Guide and City Adoption: Our 2023 prayer guide is centered around praying for these cities, and we are inviting every 10 Days gathering to adopt one city as a special prayer focus during 10 Days.

  • 10 Days happening in all 110 Cities: We are working to see a 10 Days expression on the ground in every one of the 110 Cities.  Because of the difficulty of access in some of these places, that would be a miracle.

  • Missions Training “Off-Ramp” We are working with missional church-planting networks to create an “off-ramp” from the catalytic experience of 10 Days of Prayer into training for missions and fulfilling the great commission.

Please Register Your 10 Days Gathering today so that we can add your expression to the map of prayer and connect you with other leaders in prayer from around the world.

Prayer at the Southern Steps in Israel on Pentecost Sunday

Good News: An Update on 10 Days Pentecost

We are witnessing unprecedented alignment among global movements of prayer and missions. This Spring has seen an incredible surge of prayer with multiple, overlapping initiatives aligning together and engaging more than an estimated 100 million people around the globe.  It was exciting to be able to add our “small” but “significant” piece to this global chorus of prayer.  I kept telling friends it feels like we are “doing less” and “seeing more” which is a clear sign of God’s favor and the unity we were experiencing in the church.  As Psalm 133 states, in the place of unity, God commands His blessing.

We saw over 250 local 10 Day gatherings of prayer during the days leading up to Pentecost Sunday.  In addition to these expressions, just one church planting network estimated that 20,000 of their house churches were hosting local prayer expressions during 10 Days Pentecost.  Many others were engaging in the Isaiah 62 Fast and on Pentecost Sunday, a global day of prayer for Israel and the Jewish People.

Jason Hubbard of the International Prayer Council writes:

“On Pentecost Sunday, May 28th, we gathered with 850 people on the Southern Steps, Temple Mount, in Jerusalem – the site where Peter preached the Gospel on the day of Pentecost and 3,000 Jews believed and confessed Jesus Christ as their Messiah, and Savior!

We joined our voices together with over 100 million people praying on this day for the salvation of Israel. I believe this was the most coordinated prayer effort on behalf of the Jewish people worldwide in Church history!”

We are truly beginning to see a global prayer movement that is becoming a global family—praise God for knitting us together as “a Kingdom of Priests” from every tribe, language, people, and nation…” View Full Report Here.
