The Church Jesus Sees

When Jesus looks at your city, what is the Church that he sees?  To put it in a more scandalous way, as Pope Francis recently did, what is the Church that Satan sees and hates in your city?

10 Days is a strategy to help that Church, the Church Jesus sees and Satan opposes, become visible and beautiful in many places around the world at the same time each fall.  As we prepare for 10 Days this year, we'll be sharing how God is bringing His people together in many cities, states, and regions.  We have so much to learn from one another as we all pull toward the same goal.

Connecticut: One State/Many Expressions

For the last two years, Connecticut has uniquely used a common state-wide strategy during 10 Days.  Click on the video below to hear testimonies from previous years in CT.

This year, they're pioneering an innovative state-wide strategy that includes multiple cities doing their own 10 Days while still maintaining state-wide coordination. I feel like there's a lot to be learned from what they're attempting.

Here's a report from state-coordinator, Gregg Healey on their kick-off meeting for this year:

"10 Days CT kicked-off this year with a great meeting in Berlin, CT on June 11th@11am! We had 20-25 leaders from around the state who are eager to see what the Father is doing in CT this year during the time of the fall feasts. Each one present voted John 17 unity with their feet, taking time out of their schedules to support the collective 10 Days cause. Why? Because He is worthy!

It was a strategic meeting where we talked about crucial issues of our times, such as stopping the finger-wagging at unbelievers, repenting for having worldly influences in ourselves and our own churches, and uniting together as The Church to help, serve and love the people of CT.
We also discussed new expressions of regional / citywide 10 Days coming forth this year within the state (deeper roots). First, Wellspring Church has decided to host a “camp-in” for the entire 10 days for the greater Hartford area.  They will be hosting 24/7 prayer and worship for the duration of 10 days, partnering each night with a different ministry/church to lead worship with Wintonbury, Valley Brook, and Bethel already signed up as partners.
Next, it looks like there additionally will be a "10 Days Hartford" this year hosted in various churches and venues within the city limits of Hartford proper. Further, the Eastern Shoreline was excited to get something going this year between Gilford and Old Saybrook, after wondering why they missed last year!
Finally, a number of other groups have volunteered to host nights across the state.  Initial participants include Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and Windham counties. Come Lord Jesus!"

Personally, I'm stirred by this vision of seeing an entire state seeking the Lord together over 10 Days!  Already, there are amazing testimonies coming out of the Constitution state and I believe we're just seeing a tiny beginning of what God is planning to do there.

Father, we thank you for what you're doing in Connecticut.  We thank you for Impact CT and other networks in your body that are longing for your Kingdom to come in that state.  We ask you to continue to release and increase trust, hope, and love among your people in that state and around the globe.
