10 Days 2015 Devotional, Day 2: Repenting from Fear to Epic Hope!

Day 2: Repenting from Fear to Epic Hope!

Romans 15:13 “May the God of all hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in Hope”

Do you know what the most asked question in the world is?  It’s this, “What time is it?” We believe it is time in this nation for a Hope Revolution!

Hope is the anticipation of goodness from God in every area of our lives. As human beings we are often moved by our understanding of the future. What we believe about the future always shapes how we live.  It is essential that we rightly see our God as the God of Hope! God has a good future in store for all who are his.  There are no insignificant persons, churches, movements, or families, everyone is important in his family.  He desires for our families, churches and cities to become radiant with joy, pulsating and shining with His Presence!

This hope doesn’t mean that we ignore or dismiss the challenges in our lives.  We recognize that God often allows in his wisdom what he could easily prevent by his power.  As we invite God into every part of our lives through joyful adoration, his perfect love casts out fear. As John Pipers writes, “The presence of hope in the invincible sovereignty of God drives out fear.”

With this understanding, we can shift from hopelessness to Hope, and live everyday in an atmosphere of hope rather than doubt.  The message of Hope is the simple invitation to love God well by confidently anticipating His goodness in all of life.

Paul writes, “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Cor. 13:13).  Love is the greatest, yet hope comes first!  Hope is hearing the music of the future.  Faith is dancing to that music right now and love is bringing others into the dance with you. The song we’re dancing to is Christ and his absolute Preeminence in all things!

It's our desire to see a Hope Revolution ignited, where the church is fully alive to the Supremacy of Christ in all things!    May our lives be saturated with crazy Epic HOPE, in Christ Alone!  “Christ in you, the Hope of Glory” (Col. 1:27).

May God raise up Messengers of Hope across America! If you desire to be a Messenger of Hope in this hour, declare and commit with me,

From this moment forward, every time I share about God’s Son from God’s Word with any of God’s people – as fully as each opportunity allows, by the power of the Holy Spirit – I will:

  • Give them a larger vision of the supremacy and majesty of God’s Son than they had before we began.
  • Show them greater reasons to put their hope in Christ in light of all He is in His supremacy and majesty.
  • Pray with them for a fresh awakening by the power of God’s Spirit to the glory of the supremacy and majesty of God’s Son

“According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (I Peter 1:3b)
