10 Days Pentecost Virtual

Jesus told His disciples to wait in the city of Jerusalem for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. He promised that they would receive the enabling power of the Holy Spirit to perform the work set before them, to be witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to make disciples of all nations!

Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

For ten days, they consecrated themselves and continued with one accord, praying and waiting for the promised gift of the Holy Spirit. Finally, on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out upon those who were gathered in the upper room, resulting in 3,000 new Jesus followers.

Over the centuries the Church has, in commemoration, kept the ten days before Pentecost in like manner. This year, from May 9-19th, we want to encourage you to join us for 10 days of Prayer—praying for 10 key cities on the Isaiah 19 highway from Cairo to Jerusalem. We are praying for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the people of these cities.
