2024 Recap

2024 began for me with two warning dreams, both of which had a strong element of spiritual warfare. I also felt God saying the word “maintain” to me this year. Putting these together, I am reminded of Paul’s exhortation in Ephesians 6 to “stand” in the face of spiritual warfare and evil. The year followed the dreams. It was not an easy year, and yet as I reflect, my heart is overflowing with thankfulness for all God has done.

Here’s a brief summary of major happenings in 2024.

10 Days continued to maintain and even grow (Oct 2-12, 2024). While some of our reporting was late this year, we confirmed over 500 gatherings around the globe. In addition to these, our partners at Big.Life reported engagement of around 50,000 house churches just in India during these times. Lots of stuff is happening—much more than we can keep track of.

More important than the number of gatherings are transformed lives. In 2023, we traveled to many places doing 10 Days around the globe, trying to get a God’s eye view of this global prayer meeting. Our question was simple: if we pray like the book of Acts, do book of Acts things happen? What we found was that the events of Acts were indeed happening among praying people, but on a global scale.

This year, our team of volunteers put in countless hours of work into this 10 Days film. It is far from done, but the finish line is in sight. Expect to see this feature length documentary on the impact of extraordinary prayer in 2025!

In addition to the Fall 10 Days, 10 Days Pentecost has had wide buy-in and participation globally. This year, there were 270 gatherings just in Pakistan. We also had large-scale engagement from Big.Life and other large simple-church networks. It is quite likely that more people were involved globally in the spring than in the fall. We are not driving this or pushing it—more and more groups are simply recognizing how God honors and responds to consecrated times of worship and prayer.

We also had multiple 10 Days Summits this spring, in Europe and the United States. These were incredible times of fellowship, dreaming with God, and encounter with the Lord.

Global Family 24/7 Prayer completed its fourth year of continual worship and prayer on Zoom. These prayers continue to impact the world and also transform the lives of participants. Just recently in November on one of my prayer hours, the Holy Spirit fell on some visiting mission students.

Teaching and Publishing

Presence Pioneers Media also continued to grow in 2024. After publishing “Enjoying Prayer” and “10 Days” in 2023, we have a number of new projects in line to publish in 2025, including my new book on John 17 “Jesus Gets What He Prays For”.

In 2024, PPM began publishing weekly written teachings via Substack, featuring a variety of authors. We also continued our weekly podcast, hosted by Matthew Lilley, to encourage the global prayer and missions movement. You can subscribe here.

Also, on the teaching front our partner Aqueduct Project continues to expand their online course offerings. Please check that out as it’s an incredible resource you can access from anywhere in the world.

Partnering in Mission

In addition to partnering with many local churches, unity networks, and prayer movements, we have been growing in connection to simple church (house church) networks. Disciple Making Movements are one of the incredible ways the gospel is breaking into hard-to-reach parts of the world, including China and the Middle East. This growing partnership between prayer and mission movements is incredibly dynamic. Each year, we hear many amazing testimonies about how God is moving through the combination of extraordinary prayer and bold witness.

In all of these things, I’m most thankful to be part of a true global family of friends. While spectacular failures in ministry make headlines, on a daily basis I get to follow Jesus with my friends, who are often taking massive risks or making enormous sacrifices for the sake of the gospel. God’s dream of a united family from all the nations on earth is coming together before our eyes. And we get to be part of this—amazing, and thanks be to God for His church!
