10 Days Springfield Invitation Letter
That we’re even doing 10 Days in Springfield, MA this year is a small miracle. A month ago, a couple of us were willing to gather in a basement or a backyard if that’s what it would take. Now we have several churches and families who have agreed on short notice to host gatherings throughout the city. God must be on the move in Springfield!
We invite you to join us as we humble ourselves to seek God in prayer and fasting. According to some research, Springfield is the most post-Christian city in America. If we want to see this statistic reverse and our city healed of its wounds, it’s going to take extraordinary prayer. That’s why we’re doing 10 Days.
Several weeks ago, we had a simple vision casting meeting for 10 Days Springfield. During prayer, an out of town guest who had never been here before started sharing a picture God was giving her in prayer. She said she saw a well, a spring, a fountain at the center of Springfield which was where the town was founded and named. She said there was an old church there as well, which was the founding church. She began talking about how God was bringing us back to the beginning and that it was important for us to go and pray at this “Spring” and at the old church. The next day, we prayer walked in Court Square and were amazed to see how the history of the town aligned with this vision from an outsider. We believe God did this to encourage us--there is hope for the city of Springfield!
As we approach the start of 10 Days Springfield next Monday, Sept 6, here are three ways you can join with us in seeking the welfare of our city.
Come to several of the 10 Days Gatherings. You can find the Schedule above.
Commit yourself to intentional prayer and fasting on your own during 10 Days. You can sign-up for the “Consecration Challenge” on the 10Days.net website.
On your own, Gather some friends and family at your home or elsewhere to pray together for a couple of hours during 10 Days. Let us know if you do this.
Finally, if your stirred to join with us in prayer this September, help us spread word by sharing this webpage on social media or by email and text with people you know.
