The 2020 Vision

Dear Friends,

Back in the early days, God spoke to me about 10 Days through the parable of the farmer in Mark 4:26.

“The Kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil and he goes to bed at night and gets up and the seed sprouts and grows, how he himself does not know.”

God’s word is a seed.  It has life in itself, and it grows all on its own—how it works, no one knows, but it’s amazing.   Our philosophy as a movement has been based around this simplicity… sow the vision God has given us, trust God, keep loving people, don’t quit; and it’s amazing how God has grown things since then.  Last year, I remember marveling at what God was doing as we grew from 40 to 70 cities.  I remarked to a close friend, “I have no idea how this is happening”, realizing after the fact that I was echoing the Scripture God had spoken to my heart more than 10 years ago.

The parable of the clueless farmer goes on to say “as soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it because the harvest has come.”

I sense 2020 may be a year to begin to harvest what has been sown.

A New Vision in 2020: Because our mindset has been focused long-term—sow the vision, trust God, love people, don’t quit;,we’ve never had a specific goal for a specific year.  Our vision is long-term, and my heart’s desire is to call the Church to pray like never before in human history, year upon year, as we approach the soon return of King Jesus!

However, this year we do have a very specific vision and goal—120 Cities praying 24/7 in Unity, and 120,000 People consecrated for God for 10 Days.
